LAHUSA FAU
Lahusa Fau is the centre of Nias traditional handicrafts. Many artisans in this village still practice ancient forms of wood and stone sculpture.
ORAHILI FAO
One of the oldest and most peaceful traditional villages in South Nias, Orahili Fau was also one of the last to fall during the Dutch invasion.
SIWAHILI TUMORI
One of the last remaining North Nias traditional villages, Siwahili Tumori has ten oval-shaped shaped houses over a century old.
HILIMONDREGERAYA
The large village of Hilimondregeraya features 130 traditional Southern-style houses stretching neatly from the village gate up into the hills.

Traditional war dances and rock jumping can be seen at the popular South Nias village of Bawomataluo.
